A lot of people and business's have been affected by the recent earthquake in Japan. Now according to a new report by Bloomberg, due to the 8.9 magnitude earthquake that struck Japan, Sony will be temporarily closing operations at all six of their factories in the north eastern part of Japan.

All employees at the factories have been evacuated, he said. The company is assessing the fallout from power outages and damages to buildings, he said. One factory making Blu-ray discs and magnetic tapes in Tagajo City, Miyagi Prefecture, had its ground floor flooded, said Shinji Obana, another Sony spokesman.

Southern Japan was affected. Okinawa just had an Island warning, but the majority of the disaster is Hawaii and Mainland Japan.
