In the process of a lawsuit with hacker GeoHot, Sony have made the odd move of approaching a console hacker to help them protect their console.
Surprisingly, the hacker refused their offer in protest for Gehot; who has admitted several times he would be happy to switch sides and work for Sony.

They would have been forced to sign non-disclosure forms. If they released any information about the Ps3 that they learn while on the job they could be prosecuted.
