It is well known that Microsoft was recently looking for beta testers for a new disc format. However, a hacker is saying he knows the details to what's in store.

The so called hacker is saying that Microsoft will come out with a new DVD model, known at the XG3D. Allowing the said, above.

Yeah they can only hold around 7gb, how many can Blu-Ray hold? Isn't it somewhere around 50gb? Not sure...that's just what I think I remembered hearing.
I think Blue-Ray can hold around 70GB because Killzone 3 is either 58GB or 68GB
Increasing disk size isnt really a step forward for me. IMO the only way to take discs into further development would be to completely redevelop it, possibly making it thinner and more scratch-proof, although I dont know how it would be done. Imagine having an indestructable paper-thin disc...
