Battlefield 3 is powered by the Frostbite 2.0 Engine, and thats been the center of talk recently. Battlefield 2 was run on the Frostbite 1.5 Engine, so it was somewhat limited. Patrick Bach of DICE recently stated in a interview with Norweigan game magazine Gamer, announcing that Battlefield 3 will feature the largest maps DICE has ever made.

“The game is still early in development, but I can tell you that Battlefield 3 will have the largest maps we have ever made,” said Patrick Bach. He also added that the PC version will allow a 64 player match, with the possibility of using jets, helicopters, tanks and infantry combat on a single map. We don't have the full, juicy, details on the multiplayer just yet; however, such information is likely to be released at E3.

Remember, these game have vehicles, the pace of this game will be differrent from Cod.

Dident think of that and thanks as iv never own'd a BF ( ino right) but this would be my 1rst one so i'd like to see what its likeSmile

Large Maps, this was one thing I hated about Battlefield 2, maps where way to large, I played for like 2 months and still didn't know areas on maps, was finding new areas every day.
Also, the title is slightly misleading, they said it has the Largest Maps "They" have ever made, not Largest Maps Ever Made.

Let's just hope they don't make everything made out of buildings. Campers = No

Good post, though.
