Today, Nick Caplin – Head of Communications, SCEE - posted an update about a couple PSN issues. As I'm sure most of you know, Sony is planning on giving it's users some sort of content in order to make up for the loss of the PSN. Nick Caplin shared a few more vague details on this matter.

Both Kazuo Hirai and Sir Howard Stringer have stated that we will be offering identity theft protection for those affected by the malicious attack on PlayStation Network and many of you may have seen the details of the service available in North America.

As I have explained previously, creating a similar offering for the many countries within the SCEE region is a very complicated process. Each country has a different way of handling identity theft; some offer relatively sophisticated services whilst others are much more modest.

We are currently in the process of identifying how we manage this situation and once the programme is ready to launch, we will provide details of exactly which services are available in each country and explain how to sign up. We hope to do this early next week.

Also, look out for more information on the rest of our Welcome Back program, including which free content you will be eligible for. We will be offering PSN users the opportunity to select two PS3 games from a list of five, as well as offering PSP users the opportunity to choose two games from a list of four. We will let you know exactly what games are available very soon.

Please be assured that we are continuing to work around the clock to have some PlayStation Network and Qriocity services restored and will provide you with specific details shortly.

It seems as if they are offering two full free games as well now. Hopefully, this will be in addition to what I've posted You must login or register to view this content..

It saves times. It's quoting somebody, if you actually took a couple minutes to read instead of trying to troll, you would have understood the use of a long "C/P" troll. No

It's not that long. Thanks for the update. :y:

I assumed so. It's such a huge loss for Sony, and now I actually feel pretty bad for them. I never thought that it would go to such an extent. I'm glad their working on it and also, their offering some free stuff as an apology. I've suddenly had a change of heart, hope Sony gets things running asap.

With all the troubles with the earthquakes and all that. It must be so hard for them at this time to do anything at all . I Just suddenly realised that sony are really working there heads of to get this to be the best they can .

In my opinion they should take as long as they should . Then we & sony no that it's not going to happen again .

Because of this, I Have payed £80 on Socom , And can't even play it because of the stupid attack what them idiots/idiot done.

I Hope they catch him and put him away for life .
