On May 10th, Microsoft stated that they had bought Skype for an insane $8.5 billion. The main question is, what's Microsoft going to do with Skype? Many are hoping for a it to be added to the Xbox 360, but nothing is certain yet. On the other hand, we've been hearing rumors of Sony updating their PS3 browser to Google Chrome. The video below stated that Google and Sony are going to be collaborating on the next PlayStation console.

Yes but this is about consoles of which no one would care about apple. however if sony were to make a PC opperating system, one could only speculate how awesome it'd be.

Skype is a great service and i don't really see how micro$oft would need to incorporate it into XBL since it has its own chat feature which they could update to do the same, so using it on XBL seems rather pointless. however using it for computing is a different story, its widely used and now they own it, its just another way for them to get money out of us.

because they are greedy and a company with a LOT of money, its business strategy to eat or be eaten, or in this case buy out everything you can to stop your competition and to remove possible competition.
