Nintendo's 3DS has one substantial feature which made it unique from the mess of handheld. That key feature is something called Augmented Reality.

For the video below, the card with a question mark is being used as a marker. Now, the trick is that the 'marker' has to be there at all time in order for this technology to function.

Sony has cleverly gotten rid of the 'markers,' so that users are able to really expand with this technology.

Truth is nintendo isnt inferior when it comes to games and consoles sold.

PS3 and Wii was both released 19. November 2006. PS3 consoles sold (March 29, 2011): 50 million Wii consoles sold ( March 30, 2010): 86 million

Wii games sold (March 31, 2011): 716.09 million PS3 games sold (June 30, 2010): 315.3 million

Also I think the number of ps3 games sold has increased alot because of cod, and I expect it to be around 650-700 millions game sold for ps3 aswell.

I've already got the 3DS and I'll be purchasing the NGP around Christmas time. I don't see the big fuss over competition. I like the exclusive games nintendo presents and I know the NGP will be a show stopper. Why can't we have both?
