Matros tweeted that an ESL representative was at the event. This comes as good news since ESL is one of the biggest e-sport organizations in the world, and was most likely interested in the E-Sport features of Battlefield 3.

However, this news wouldn't be important at all if Daniel Matros didn't tell us about an ESL representatives being knifed while watching an in-game ad on one of the Battlefield 3 maps!

Daniel Matros Tweeted:

With this bit of info, it seems that BF3 will have various ads all through out the game! This is good for the e-sport scene since this will allow companies to host and sponsor Battlefield 3 events worldwide while still doing their company marketing strategies within the game!

As realistic and more close to home it may seem, you're absolutely right.

Product placement is a big thing in every type of media, and it's becoming more common in newer video games. I just hope it doesn't get too out of hand. I love Indie games, Independent developers are some of the best, but the last thing we need are Hipsters who doubt our Indie gamer cred.
