Here is something I would recommend all of you 64-bit users to do, as it will increase the gaming performance in Minecraft. To check this you have to open Minecraft and go to Task manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc), and then click on the tab named "Processes". There you will find a process named javaw.exe. If you see the characters "*32" after the process, it means that you run the 32-bit version.
