<left>Awesome faceuring the Infinity Ward implosion in the Spring of 2010 Activision had to scramble to pick up new developers quickly. Infinity Ward co-founders were fired since they were starting a new studio outside of Activision. Law suits also came along with that and plenty of Infinity Ward workers left to join West and Zampella at their new firm, Respawn Entertainment. Activision needed to bring the developers together from Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games to finish up Mw3. So far there has been nothing that has interrupted the franchise. </left>

<left>Beachhead was working on the Job with Call of Duty:Elite and then Demonware is handling services for all of the games. And also Treyarch is working on non-Modern Warfare-based titles.</left>

<left>Stohl then went on to say that “Soap” MacTavish and John Price, the main characters of Modern Warfare, are “two of the most iconic characters in gaming” but he would not go on to say any information on anything that is coming up in the franchise.</left>

the author quotes the intern as saying "this franchise" as in the particular franchise of call of duty (MW3 alone?)? or....?

Either 500 just for MW3 {OR} CoD4, MW2, and MW3 combined. I don't know.

At least that is what I've interpreted it as.

In my man cave
It takes 500 developers to create one game yet it takes & took 7 people to manufacture the Ariel Atom from scratch.
