In light of the unique release of the white PS3, sony have decided to add a little more vibrant colour to their range of systems however do note that a release date has only been set for Japan (17th November). Unfortunately there is no indication whether these systems will be coming to Europe and/or North America anytime soon so don't get your hopes up just yet.
Despite the fact they may not be released to any countries outside of Japan, they are region free so feel free to import one if this is the type of PS3 you have been hoping to get your hands on. Personally I'm quite pleased Sony have decided decided to expand on their current systems since it gives a bit more variation other than their usual all black products.

The PS3 runs on the exact same firmware as the others. If the old one is jailbreakable, this one will.

Well this is probably the best aswell as latest news for ps3 users so why not. It's better to post this and let people know rather than not post it just because it's 2 days old.

That is true, but you would have to be willing to trust someone on their abilities, not to mention it's probably easier for a new buyer to just get this one instead of buying an old one and spraying it. It also comes with a 320GB which is a step up I believe.
