A bit of history: Minecraft Awesome is the official Minecraft server of the website videogamesawesome.com. It’s a huge server with a lot of creative people and many amazing communities. Normally, the VGA crew highlights the Minecraft Awesome server by doing live tours of build challenges.

My series instead takes a look at the Minecraft communities that have sprung up and flourished. I’ve only used tour guides a few times, so for the most part I just wander about aimlessly and look to highlight and explore interesting builds. All of my commentary is recorded live, and while most of it is based on looking at and discussing the locations I’m touring, occasionally I throw in some general commentary as well.

Minecraft Awesome Is Awesome recently celebrated its landmark sixtieth episode, so to commemorate the occasion I posted a long “thank you” video for my current watchers and will be trying to drum up interest in this series through this board and some others.

I don’t harbor any dreams of becoming a major YouTube star, but I do think this series has a lot of heart and I think it shows off the creative works of many amazing people. As always, feedback and comments of any kind are appreciated. I never delete comments and I respond to a lot of them.

Not bad man Keep trying to advance it

In order to cut down on post spam (which I've been accused of in the past) I'm going to start waiting until I've finished my week of Minecraft Awesome Is Awesome videos to post the videos on the topics I use to advertise this series. So, I'll be going from three posts with one video per week to one post with three videos per week.

Time for another big ‘ol MAIA resurrection update! I’m actually not dead, just crazy busy lately. To help stop the post necromancy, I’m going back to my previous way of updating this topic, which is to update once every time a new episode comes out. Holy crap I'm back!

It feels a lot longer, but I think I've only missed a month or so since I've been actively recording and editing and uploading and all that stuff. But I'm back now, and the builds of the Minecraft Awesome server are as awesome as ever. Due to the fact that I switched from YouTube to Blip due to YouTube being... well, being asshats... I now only post short one-minute highlight videos to each individual episode, with the link to the full episode being in the description of the YouTube video.

So, since a lot of forums still have specific codes for YouTube, I'm just going to be embedding the short YouTube highlight videos and not to the longer, blip-hosted full videos.

And that's that! I'll be spreading the love to this board, the other main boards I post on, and maybe even some new boards if Google is being kind to me. Just want to give a big "thank you" to all my supporters across the internet! You guys are the definition of awesome.
