Post: Is Battlefield 3 worth opening it?
11-25-2011, 11:50 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I am a CoD type of person and I just recently bought Battlefield 3 for Black Friday! Happy But I'm not sure if I will feel happy about opening it and get bored way too easily. Can I have just 2 reasons how I will enjoy it just as much as I enjoy CoD?

@ixPxIxNx0xYxi - I recommend you to open it and play it right now! Just start the Campaign and then Start Rushing in the Multiplayer Mode! This Game is in my opinion the best Game ever created as Multiplayer. I've played on PS3 over 200 Games (PS3 because of HighDef Games) and I must admit that Battlefield 3 is really the best Multiplayer Game I've ever seen. If you got the Limited Edition you will get on December Back to Karkland for free and might some Maps (BFBC2 had really much Free maps) and might other DLC like Weapons or Co-Op stuff will cost some money but not 15$ like CoD makes it on each DLC. Call of Duty is like a Brainwash. The Game was more expensive than Battlefield 3 and it still look like CoD4. What Changed in those years? "Ohhhh they added custom killstreaks". Then the DLC is everytime to expensive. CoD4, CoD5, MW2, Black Ops, MW3... I never saw a free DLC there. All CoD games have DLC's and really expensive. What did I heard? MW3 will get 20 DLC's OMG !!! How much will they cost? 15$ each? 15x20=300$ of DLC. Who will pay this? Mom and Dad? Man... Really I just suggest you to leave CoD because it's really a Brainwash and play Battlefield 3.

good post m8 , i would've said something along those lines but it sounds like he's brainwashed already because if he wasn't he would've noticed most of the FActs you posted . but good post :y:

Can you explain HOW I will mess shit up just because I'm a CoD person?

Do you prefer largely dynamic environments or a smoother FPS? Battlefield FPS is still very good but obviously the CoD 60FPS is currently unrivalled.
Do you prefer teamwork or lone wolfing? Both of these play-styles are possible in both games but Battlefield is centred largely around teamwork whilst on CoD it's more about lone-wolfing and being a general k/d whore.
Do you prefer large maps that promote intelligent thinking and tactics or small close-quarters-combat maps that are all about reactions and perk loadouts? Obviously, the former is Battlefield and the latter is CoD.
Do you prefer vehicle warfare or purely gun-to-gun gameplay? Again, the first is Battlefield, the second is CoD.
Do you consider winning as part of a team more or less important than putting in a good individual performance and boosting your stats? Ditto the above two notes.

If you answered at least two of those questions in favour of Battlefield I'd say it's worth a go, otherwise probably not.

It's also worth noting that it takes a while to adjust to the Battlefield style of play. It's not nearly so run-and-gun or spray-and-pray as CoD and thus many CoD players find themselves getting royally raped at first which results in them immaturely saying that the game just sucks. But yeah, you get the idea.

He's referring to the hordes of CoD players that have joined the Battlefield community lately who don't understand how teamwork works. Players who put their own score ahead of winning, etc.

here are examples of HOW you may mess shit up

1. you get into my team and start rushing like a normal cod player and getting killed right away , in BF3 in rush mode you have a life counter for the team if you continue to rush and get killed your jeopardizing our "team"

2. Camping to fix your K/D , you will mess shit up because your squad mates might need to spawn on you , your part of a freaking team who care about your k/d

3. Using Vehicles to taxi or flank enemy , you will mess shit up because vehicles are not to get to place to place you have a team!!! you could've used that jet or chopper to take out enemy vehicles instead

4. I'm just really sick of watching a bunch of people doing cod shit on bf and you can point em out 100% when they do something cod in bf3 like trying to knife me from the front , lol , cod memebrs are so used to the knife being a one hit kill tactic that it makes me laugh and it happens alot !!!

5. really I was just frustrated when I first posted that but listen to the other guy who gives his reason for why you should get it , he wrote a good ass post imo , you do what you wanna do just don't bring the cod mentality to bf3 , its a total different game , its an actual war game not a wanna be war game which is just an arcade shooter

^^ I think I may be guilty of #3, at least for Humvees & Support Helis :embarrassed:

(#3 Camping to fix your K/D, will mess shit up) I play the support kit and so do my squad. If we never covered, suppressed the enemy/objective we probably wouldn't of even won half the games we have. Me and my squad cover our team mates back. We help our team push forward. We blow up tanks etc etc with our C4 and yet we have high K/Ds.

But I do understand what you are saying, I have seen many a player get high K/Ds and not actually contribute anything to the team besides running their tickets down...

Why so many worries about K/D & W/L Ratio? Just play and have fun. I sometimes destroy things with my Repair tool the entire Game. Just have fun with your Squad Smile
