There have been many rumours about the upcoming nextgen consoles so far. If all are true, the inside of the new Xbox, presumably some kind of insane multicore CPU and crazy powerful graphics chipset could be teased early as part of Microsoft's final showing at the Consumer Electronics Show this year. This could mean it may be properly revealed at E3 next year in June. So if all these rumours are accurate, expect it to be in stores by the 2013 holiday season!

But that is not what I have come here to talk about. Rumours have uprising that Microsoft are trying to go more mobile. There are strong signs suggesting that, like with Nintendo's Wii U, a tablet component figures heavily into the new design. That new Windows 8 Metro interface (now also seen on the Xbox Dashboard) just begs to be touched. some have even been suggesting that the core of the new platform will be akin to a tablet PC that wirelessly connects to a base station, which in turn plugs into your TV. If this is the case, a premium Xbox Next setup could include a base station, a tablet, a conventional controller of some kind, and the recently discussed high-def evolution of the Kinect.

These are all rumoured and most of the time, these don't turn out true, but,

If the Xbox 720 were to be tablet based, what would you think about? Would you buy it? (answer those questions below)

I think they'll make the 720 smaller and maybe into a square or something. But whatever they do, I'm sure it'll be great :p.

i remember asking the same question back in 2004 with ps2-ps3 i was saying ps2 is sexy and now look @ the ps3 and 360 they are sexy

I would never buy any tablet based gaming system.. That revolutionizes the gaming world a bit too far in my opinion. Every gaming system has been controller based since day 1.. I don't know any real gamer who would buy this.

Let's hope it's a rumor or Microsoft may be taking a plummet in finances. :n:

Family Guy FTW
If its a tablet, im going for the next playstation. Having a tablet isnt the point in Home Gaming! Make a portable games system by all means, just dont also make it a home console!
