With the Skyrim 1.4 patch going live the question that is on everyone's mind is, is the lag fixed? The PS3 Skyrim lag debacle has been spindling a web of framerate-related sadness like a giant, unruly Frostbite Spider since the game’s release in November. Bethesda said the patch should cure all lag related issues in order for the game to be played with full enjoyment. Here is a quote from a Bethesda employee

“I was level 32, with an 8MB save, but after patching it dropped to 6.5MB and unbelievably, Whiterun (which was the area with biggest frame drops in my case) is certainly lag free, I believe this patch is working, although I am not giving the all clear yet.”

“Guys, I’m sad to say that this fix is only a temporary one. After three hours playing the lag is back in full force, even worse at times.”

The changes made seem to be a major shrinkage of save files, with many Skyrim-enthusiasts saving their files after every battle it can hold up a lot of space on the console. Thanks to the 1.4 patch it decreases the size of the files in order for more to be saved.

Go Steelers!
Well I lucked out cause I never had lag since the day I bought it back in December...Soooo I guess the update worked for me? haha, I don't have lag, but I do experience a few bugs and glitches. For instance, If I try to put a weapon on a rack, or a dagger wall, it just floats in mid-air away from it..Weird.

Do a barrel roll!
I'm one of the lucky few who also didn't have lag issues despite playing it for tens of hours. I hope this patch or subsequent patches fix it for those who do, mind.
