Today, at 4:59 PM EST; 26th March, 2012, Robert Bowling (fourzerotwo) has retired from his position as Creative Strategist of Call of Duty, as a lead of Infinity Ward, and as an employee of Activision. Word hasn't been released why yet, however, he tweeted it on Twitter. So until more info is released, a picture of the tweet is below.

What can this mean? Will Modern Warfare 4 cease to exist? Who knows. What do you guys think about Bowling's retirement?

Call of Duty 4 and Modern Warfare 2 were great. They'll find someone else but he will definitely be missed.

He already is worth $20,000,000. Smart man! He won't have to work another day in his life.

Just because he resigned doesn't mean Infinity Ward will stop developing video games or Activision will stop publishing them. Yeah, the may of lost their community manager and creative strategist, but they can always hire another one.

Trolling is a art
Rumor has it he was fired over expressing his views that DLC Flashback Maps should be free.

That'd be a stupid way to go down.

Sad to see him go, now he didn't have anything to do with the designing of the game. But, he's been around for it all. He's most likely resigning for his family/personal reasons. Nevertheless, he was a great community manager. He will be missed, I don't think they'll be able to find anyone as friendly or cool to replace him.
