(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Well this is very self explanatory but some people have been asking how to view the .sco files, so i figured i quickly show you guys, also this will give you all needed tools for modding GTA.

Note: this doesn't allow modifying of the .sco but allows you to extract the source to view and recompile using the scocl recompiler - You must login or register to view this content.

So what you will need:
- Notepad (If your a coder and want to make scripts) You must login or register to view this content.
- GTA open IV or GTA spark IV (I prefer SparkIV) You must login or register to view this content. || You must login or register to view this content.
- GTAIV.exe (Needed for OPENIV to load) You must login or register to view this content.

TuT (Easy)

- Open Spark IV or OPEN IV click open and open your .IMG file then a list of .sco files appear, click on the file you wish to view click right mouse and click view (note sometimes it cant open modified .sco's, im unsure why) now copy the source and have fun learning!

Maybe you will see some code that can be edited and wish to implement it into your patch or maybe you just wish to see how GTA works, whatever your doing this will in some way help, i hope LoL Smile

Hope this helps, i know its very easy but some people either dont know the tools or dont know how to use them, anyway Enjoy!

I take no credit for this, i just copiled the thread together.

So... we could possibly convert more pc script mods?
not entirely but get a stripped example of the source code.
lol that would be sweet!

yes downloading OPENIV allows you to export/import .sco files from any .IMG files, so yes.

You Can Import Whole PC Script Mods. The Scripts Only Tells The Game How It Should Run. Didnt You Make The Non Game Ruining Script Bro?

I have noticed this before with other specific sco's but most don't work for some reason :(
One thing for sure the do need to be decompressed.

Its good for grabbing/learning C though..

I'm too lazy to go linking them here, just as you're seemingly too lazy to use the search button.
