Right I got the Color Offset figured out, bar the Thumbnail. But fuck the thumbnail.
I turned a Reflex Purple GT-R '07 into a Gold Chrome.
I tried the same with the DeLorean, but to no avail. The Color Code for unpaintables must be somewhere I cannot find.
But it has been done.

Chaparral cars can have their paint chip changed even though they can't be painted. Though the livery remains on there even if you tried using the darkest black, the numbers still appear as light silver.
X2010 S. Vettel can be painted but with the livery in place there's no way to tell the underlying coat. It also seems the livery of S. Vettel is applied on the car thoroughly.
I too have tried painting the X2010 itself and the result is that default "red" which everyone was so horrified about. My guess is that either:
- What people are saying is that the offsets are definitely not in the same usual place as the rest of the cars (well almost all..). Though I have certain doubts.
- This default "red" could potentially be just another livery. If such is the case, by finding a way to remove the livery may reveal the actual painted colours. In other words what I'm saying is that in cases of S. Vettel and potentially the two other prototypes (X2010 Prototype and X2011 Prototype), they all have 03 FF FF FF. Even if you changed the offset to the colour of your choice you still end up with the same paint as it was before with the exception of the paint chip is actually shown when you view the car.
*EDIT* That painted F2007 probably goes to show that certain unpaintable cars can be repainted via paint swapping. I'm certain its very much the same case when I tried experimenting on my Chaparral 2D at first. In other words these cars probably don't have other liveries apart from what you see (namely stickers/badges/etc).
