(last 3 bits are listed as this because i saw some values from dlc suits. Will check later)
The last 3 bits won't help against crashing when selecting some suits/helmets. Tried 000-111 for vettel, but no luck.

Horizon helmet = 15 = F (1111)
Double stripe suit= 14 = E (1110)

So a horizon 3 (0011) helmet and a double stripe suit 22 (10110) would be :

0 00000011 (= 3) 00010110 (= 22) 001111 (= Horizon) 001110 (= DoubleStripe) 000

Giving a hex value of: 01,8B,1E,70 to enter between the markers.

Setting the suit or helmet # to 0 will give the -00 versions.
Using 11111111 as a value will get them to the suit or helmet name without an aditional number.

Do *NOT* replace any DLC suit or helmet on a driver. You could loose them like this. Better toy with a disposable set of gear!

to my driver suit copying over a yelloy suit and helmet and I get the Jimmy Johnson Helmet and Suit Combo, when I hit Random suit change, The Jimmy Johnson suit and helmet combo get added to my special suits folder in items

Yeah and then search for the "Jimmy" or "Johnson" and try to search the code near it.

The code I get for Jimmy is this

Naah, I have GT5.1 and 2 files and I still someyimes get stuff on GT5.0 file.

Both eqipeable then unequipable with them going back in my racing helmets and racing suits folders for reuse

Step 1 Get a ugly suit as a Donner suit, this will be gone so dont use a suit you want to keep

Step 2 with Ugly suit equipped copy the combo suit and helmet that you want to split onto your drivers gear

Step 3 load game first thing go & change your suit to the next ugly one (we want to build 3 dummy Special suit combo files) you only have to build 2 if you want only the helmet and suit and only one if you just want either the suit or helmet. Building 3 will get you the combo suit in Special suits, the helmet in your racing helmets and the suit in your racing suits

step 4 with 2nd ugly suit equipped copy the combo suit and helmet you want to split (same one as in Step 2) onto your drivers gear

Step 5 load the game first thing go & change your suit to the next ugly one to change & save

Step 7 repeat to build the 3rd suit combo

Step 8 In HxD copy the next suit you want to split onto your drivers gear and then search for the same of the special gear you want to split The gear from step 2. If it was Jimmie Johnson, Search for Jimmie. IMPORTANT if you have the Jimmie Johnson DLC authentic (as I do) Do not modify your "Legit DLC" hit F3 to pass it (In the case of the NASCAR drivers, there are 2 suits each, Hit "F3" for each one you have, so if you have just 1, hit F3 once, if you have both hit F3 twice.) This should bring you to your 3 hacked in suits. You should see "Jimmy Johnson", and not too far away a second and then a 3rd "Jimmie Johnson" to the left side of each name is the following code ""03012F017200"""

On the first one change the 03012(F to D)017200 & on the second change the 03012(F to E)017200 on the third leave it as is.

Step 7, Save and repeat for as many suits as you want to split

Soooooo after a few hours of rinse wash repeat

Just delete the driver and make new driver, new driver has Beginner's Suit equipped so you won't loose anything.
Otherwise just like that
