(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So ive been reading that having 2 different region discs running on your PS3 allows you to run 2 different game updates.

So for example my PAL disc could run update 2.11 and the NTSC disc could run version 2.12.

Is this confirmed?

Any more info on this situation would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I have a PAL disk on its way from Europe to do exactly that, I have had 2 confirmation by members, saying it is working for them, I will post again as soon as I have my disk and run it on my PS3. I have absolutely no doubt it is working.

Yeah ive ordered a NTSC version

Just waiting for it to get to me to test out.

If this doesn't work it means playing GT5 offline only.

I ain't gonna buy a new PS3 when the PS4 is just around the corner.

Hi, I'm the person who first suggested this. Here is a photo showing you it works. It shows two GT5 saves (and backups) on the same PS3. You can do it like this on one account, just swapping discs depending what version you want to use or use separate accounts for each version.

It's good too because if people buy new discs then PD will make some money towards GT6. Win win if you ask me.

Personally I am not a fan of people using any hacked car online no matter how small the hack. I do not judge people who do, rather I leave that to their own conscience. My pet hate is people who steal DLC. That's just theft as far as I'm concerned. My opinion only so don't flame me please. I think people should experiment offline and have fun making unique cars then post videos or photos on the web to show off their creations.

I think it is the best solution. You can still play online happily with v2.12 and experiment offline with v2.11 and not get yourself banned or piss people off.

So you can use one account for the two versions? Nice.

I think i will use a new account to prevent me from mixing the games up if i want to edit a savegame.
Or is it easy to keep them apart from each other?
My other region disc has arrived but i will only instal it in a few days. Have to get well first.

Yup, one account, two versions.

Probably easier with two accounts but is is quite easy to keep them separate. Just remember what your current car is on the save you want to edit or give your experimenting account ridiculous amount of credits. Both these things are displayed when you put your cursor on the save in the XMB.

Nice move PD Smile

Now everyone is buying GT5 again.

But People, make sure your TV can display different format when you buy another region disc.
