(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was wondering if anyone has found or is working on a GT6 garage editor for people like me that do not have a jailbroken PS3

There we go again. The key alone won't get you anywhere. It's not like something you put into your Brute Force Savegame config. GT6 is using a custom encryption algorithm on the savefiles. Plus it is using a "to some extent" custom hash function on the files. And even more weird stuff from PD's derived codebase..

Well, that part is down since mid february (3 or 4 weeks after I really went for it and by chance found a mentor for getting me back into real reversing stuff), but I can't help anyone on that due to a promise I made to him: the code will stay in "private" and not go public. As I HIGHLY respect him -> I won't break my promise on that.

Sorry, but I'll stick to my word.

First, I know who you are and as such I fully understand and acknowledge the fact that your knowledge of this is infinitely greater than mine. Having said that I am a little bit confused about what it does take to modify the save data on OFW as it has been stated that people such as yourself have the ability to do so. I am experienced with electronics and also using a hex editor to edit data in hexadecimal form, BUT I don't have a clue when it comes to software and reverse engineering and such. My experience comes from work in the automotive field repairing and modifying electrical hardware and tuning ECM's (hence the experience with a hex editor). So my statement in my last post was based on what I did know about GT6 save data and what I had read about the issues surrounding releasing a save editor for OFW. If it isn't as simple as I had thought to be able to decrypt saves and edit them then so be it. I was simply mistaken and not necessarily just repeating somebody else's demands. I can respect you sticking to your word as I respect people with integrity so I wouldn't expect you to break your promise. My only remaining question would be if it is possible to make an editor without risking exposing the code that is meant to be kept private ? I don't know how reverse engineering works so I don't know if and/or how difficult it would be for someone to take an editor and reverse engineer it to find the "secret" code for a lack of a better term. I believe that a lot of people would be very happy and grateful to have a tool for OFW that can perform simple modifications like those that have been discussed such as adding money, editing stats, adding paint colors, and accessing content such as extra cars and gear. I'm sure these questions have been asked countless times already, but I have never found direct answers from anybody that definitively knows how to manipulate save data and it be recognizable to the game.

Sorry if I have mistaken you on that. I just perceived the questioning about a key for the secondary layer and instantly felt the need to finally answer why I'm not releasing anything.

Thank you. I appreciate that Smile

The code that is meant to stay private, does in fact deal with the custom encryption and anything else needed to decrypt/reencrypt the savegame AND have the game accept that save in the end. This is why I really can't help on that matter.

I'm fully aware about the fact that a lot of people would like to see/use any tool that would allow them to edit their savegames..
Again, I'm sorry for "letting you folks down" on that.. But I'll stick to my words.

No harm no foul, my feathers don't ruffle easily and I know that this topic has been addressed countless times so I understand there being a bit of frustration.

I can't speak for the masses, but personally I'm not "let down". I cannot reasonably demand something from you and expect to get it simply because I want it especially given the nature of what we are discussing and the effort you've put into this. I'm happy having a definitive answer and nothing more.

Better lock this topic, it became pretty useless.

It has so have play proper or get save with all cars and resign to your ps3 Reaper
