Y'ello!
I just wanted to point out, I've played both of the franchises alot. Since I want to be sincere, I have to say that I've played BF-games more than COD.
However, now when I've tried both MWII and BCII, I still have to say thast BCII is better... alot.
In many ways MWII is a solo-players campfest, Jeez is there any tactical play between players online?
I find the graphics to be better in BCII, if you take in consideration the sheer size of the maps. Yes they're not bigger than alot of the previous BF-games, but hey, they're alot more intense.
I'll not acknowledge this gaming experience of MWII, I loved it. But STILL BCII has made me drop it(!).
Now onto the sales... I don't give a damn! I fear and believe that MWII will kick BCIIs ass when it comes to sales, but they precious "few" that buy it will be granted a true blessing. So PLEASE before ranting about one or the other, try both, since after all, both games are awesome!
And btw, I don't care about EA, DICE are the true masters here (they're Swedes after all) and that such a "tiny" company can take on IW is truly of a biblical scale!
Secondly, here's the release dates of the BF games (since the other EA-games doesn't matter, we're talking BF here):
Codename Eagle (the fore-runner) - 31th March 2000
Battlefield 1942 - 10th September 2002
Battlefield 1942: Road to Rome (Expansion) - 2nd February 2003
Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of World War II (Expansion) - 4th September 2003
Battlefield Vietnam - 16th March 2004
Battlefield 2 - 21st June 2005
Battlefield: Modern Combat (a console version (basically)) - 24th October 2005
Battlefield 2: Special Forces (expansion) - 21st November 2005
Battlefield 2: Euro Force (expansion) - 15th March 2006
Battlefield 2: Armored Fury (expansion) - 6th June 2006
Battlefield 2142 (personal favourite

) - 17th October 2006
Battlefield 2142: Northern Strike (expansion) - 8th March 2007
Battlefield: Bad Company (note: only for PS3 & Xbox360) - 23rd June 2008
Battlefield Heroes (a free to play cartoon shooter) - 25th June 2009
Battlefield 1943 (only for PS3 & Xbox360) - 8th July 2009
Battlefield: Bad Company II - 5th March 2010
Battlefield 1943 (PC-version) - Q1/2 2010 T.B.A.
And I've played every single one!
As a finale, if you check the average scores on (eg) GameSpot, you'll see that all Battlefield games average higher than all Call of Duty. MWII with a score of 9.0 doesn't beat B2 with 9.3
L8er!
