(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have a cfw ps3 that i am planning to do some trophy hack with and sync after i update it to ofw.
my question is: can i get banned simply by connecting the ps3 to internet and download game updates? ( for games like the first battlefield they didn't come with trophy, only enabled trophy after entering the game and prompt me to download the update file.
This ps3 is the original 60gb fat ps3 that was still sealed two days ago. i bought two on launch day. so it have never signed on to psn.

is there any precaution i can use? i don't even play backup games. i bought used game and only doing this as a one time trophy thing then i will use it like a regular ps3

Well, I've been on CFW and downloading updates since ages, I don't think that you will get banned for it, but however there's no 1 reason you can get banned for. You might get banned for any reason so take cautions for everything. Also you can install the updates as PKG right away from your USB Stick, that doesn't require downloading it from PS3 Happy

where will i be able to find the pkg file for the updates? i am guessing you are telling me to do it this way to be extra cautious?

You can use PSN Stuff like what Synergy213 said to download psn games and updates, I mostly use it for updates.
