I installed the rebug updater pkg. And then it froze so I turned my ps3 off. Then I tried switching some settings on rebug toolbox. I was desperately searching the internet for something that worked. So I installed kamel 3.55 dex ofw. However now everytime I go into recovery mode it says that I need to install version 2.40(maybe it was 3.40 will check later) or higher but then it wont find the updates. If I do it through the xmb it is in grey text and when I try to install it it says that the data is corrupted and gives an error code. I really need help so olease reply!!!

Sounds like the file you downloaded was a fake or virus. I haven't heard of a problem like this before ever.

Try resetting your ps3 to default settings maybe?
