umm with mine it would sometimes stay on long enough to transfer data to usb, you could maybe remove the HDD and put in another system to retrieve saves, but it may ask u to format it thats all

Thanks bro but yea it will ask me to format, I thought there was a way that once you stick it in a CFW ps3 you could access the encrypted data. just hope someone can chime in and let me know how its done
