Post: Restore any backup to a 3.55 CFW PS3?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Basically, my slim got YLOD... I had all patches, modded shit, etc on it... I got a backup of the PS3... I was wondering if I could restore that backup to a 3.55 PS3... I know you normally can't but is there a way to seeing as its on a firmware that can be customised, like can you remove the copy protection or some shit, and no I don't have my slims console id unless you can extract it from a backup... thanks.

A backup won't work unless the backup contains THAT ps3s MAC and CID. You will get an error otherwise.

Ffs, stupidly I didn't make a copy of all the stuff on my PC, mhh what about decrypting a backup :evil: I've heard its been done successfully before.

Possible to be done. No one has a tut stare

Even if there is a tut, i wouldn't trust it. Could be bind or even just be a RAT without an actual program

I will scour the internet for some halp and if no luck I'll have to check my old (now porn hdd) hdd for patches :fa:
