the only problem is how can i back up my datat from the old hard drive?

some will say use the back up in the ps3 , but it only accept FAT32 and 99.99% of all external hard drive are NTSC .

evevn when i try to format it to FAT32 the windows wont do it at all ..

i only need the accounts info the e-mails and passwords ..

i can download the games again if i have to ..

Look on youtube and Google. They will help you find a tool to do just that

It might just be easier to just Get a pen and some paper and write down the info then switch them and also deactivate games before switching them

this is easy mate, you only need to back up save data, you only need a thumb drive, go into save game data on ps3, copy to usb, the psn account is online not on the system you just need to know your login details,
switch HDDs turn on ps3, it will auto format the news hdd, copy save game data back to ps3. done
