I do not have the orginal or do not no what the model number for the orginal logic board is

Please please can someone point me into the right direction

I do not care about the blu ray player I just want to get my downloaded games working

If you don't have your old logic board then you my friend are SOL!!!
As you may already know that you cannot run any PSN games or end up getting a black screen.

What firmware is the PS3 on?
Have you tried to install/update the PS3 firmwares?

If he's on a cfw, can't he downgrade back to 3.55 re - marry the drive?

I'm pretty certain that he cannot install OFW/CFW on his Ps3 since he does not have the old logic board. So, if he cannot install any CFW, then he will not be able to downgrade to remarry
