The best thing you can do is try and join a online game were they are at the gate and see if they can pass it for you.

Why not just use a save editor or something to skip that level or something

I know why. It's Ur badass ranks. Try disabling then. That happ to me. It cause Ur enemies/environment to high or Ur badass rank. Hope this helps. : ) i hav ps3 -avatar1o1234
