Hi guys so today my cfw ps3 started overheating I'm seeing the cell temps go to about 79c this makes me worry. It's a original release console and never has been opened nor cleaned. I know it's overheating due to me having a Ylod ps3 that's on 3.55 and it showed the same symptoms before it ended its life. Anyways I'm debating whether or not I should open it up and replace the thermal paste I'm not gonna use a heat gun or anything just replace the thermal paste. I'm wondering if you guys think this is a good idea or not because usually once you open electronics they usually aren't ever the same . Let me know your opinion thanks.
Is it getting hot while playing certain games? or its hot idling?
