Post: PS3 not booting
06-26-2014, 08:52 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); A few months ago I downgraded my ps3 and installed custom firmware, all went fine until I tried to go from Rogero to Rebug because I forgot to take a disc out of the tray and it messed up the firmware. I then re-flashed using my E3 Flasher and now when I turn on my ps3 the fan slows down and there is no picture going to my tv and no power going to the usb ports, My dump is fine and my ps3 stays on for as long as I want, just I can't use it. I've been told by friends it might need thermal paste is this correct? Anyone know how to fix this? Whoever helps me fix it gets 3 free services on their games of choice or 50 free platinum trophies as a thank you gift.

I'm going to try and reflow it, If I fail I might just buy another cfw or maybe buy a jtagged xbox.

What CFW you are using..? I saw one of your posts says that you have your ps3 going to 80's (Cell temp) in IDLE state and that is fine, after playing few hours the temp gets lower (because the fan started working).. I just have your similar situation is that safe =3? Or I have to use #PayLoad in control fan utility?
