So I just got into E3 flasher and what not. I made a lot of research about it on how to install it etc...

My question is, once I install the E3 flasher, I'm downgrading to 3.55, how am I going to play online? Will I have to upgrade it to 4.60 CFW and bypass? I'm not sure what happens after that.

P.s i'm 90% new to this so bare with me.

Just upgrade to 4.55 or Whatever cfw you want then spoof upto 4.60.

I would not use cfw 4.60 as lots of tools don't work on it yet as its to new

If you convert to dex you dont need a spoofer I use 4.46 Rebug dex

As you are new to ps3 modding would suggest using Rogero 4.55 & spoof upto 4.60

Install E3 -> Make some valid Backups (!) -> Load the patched Backup that you generated with the tools to your NOR/NAND ->
Use Rogeros Downgrader to get on 3.55 -> Install any CFW (I'm using Rogeros 4.55 v1.0.1b) -> Spoof to FW 4.60 and go online. :-)

Another question, what is the diffetence between the NOR FLASHER and the LIMITED ONE.

I saw a video about how to install the E3 flasher and the guy had the dock to insert his HDD inside it and started to customize it.

The normal flasher doesn't have the SATA Station. So nothing special.
CHeck this thread out. It's not that hard to understand it and the user who wrote this also have a video where he used the E3 Flasher without the SATA station. I also followed his video.

Yes i saw that thread, but then i noticed he was doing it on the slim ps3, and I have the FAT. Don't they differ in some ways?

Yeah, when you disassemble the console. Just check some other YouTube videos out.

Alright so now i'm about to buy an e3 flasher. Do you recommend me buying the one with the SATA dock or just the normal one?

I would say the normal one. I mean you will think about removing the Flasher, right? :-)

What do you mean by removing it? As in taking it off my system after I have modded it?
