I will soon buy a jailbroken ps3.
but I do not know much from it
I really want to host mod lobby like for black ops 2.

Here are my questions.

1. how to download your games. and put them on your ps3?

2. how to download mod menus like for bo2

3. which means CEX / dex ?

4. can you be banned from psn / your console ?

5. whats multiman?

6. the only thing what i want i download games and hosting mod lobby online like on mw3 and bo2 with out i getting banned

1. To install a game, you'll pop in the disk and after installing multiman, go into multiman and press triangle, then choose copy to hard drive.
Alternatively, you could download the game online at a torrent site, then unrar it and put it on your ps3 from FTPing or copying it over.

2. You don't download those. Black Ops 2's mod menus are rtm (real time modding) menus. To use these you must first have the tool on your computer, and then run the menu.
I highly recommend having a DEX ps3 because if you're on CEX it's extremely slow and laggy.

3. CEX means retail (it's what you have on your ps3 when you first get it.) So if you just Jailbroken your ps3 and installed custom firmware on it, you're on CEX.
DEX means developer. It's basically a PS3 that developers use to create/develop products. Basically it gives you a lot more features and it's gives you a lot of other stuff you can do, but it's very complicated if you don't know what you're doing.

I recommend, seeing as you're just getting into the modding scene and you're clearly new, to stay around CEX because it's simple and easy.

4. You can always get banned.
Never think you can't, there's always a chance and it's usually decently high but it really depends on how you play it out and if you're stupid with your mods or not.

5. MultiMan is basically a really, very more useful version of the XMB (playstation cross menu bar, where pictures, games etc. is)
It's also a game manager and a file manager. It's where your back ups (games that are on your hard drive)
are. And you can access all your playstations files from it, as well as control a lot of your console just from it. It's everything you need on your console.

6. Download the mod menu files and replace the original files with them. You'll see how to do it when you find he menu you want. Oh, and I must state that modern warfare 3 and black ops 2 both need the use of RTM menus so you probably won't e able to do those right away..
And you'll likely get banned very easily on BO2 if you're modding and not smart!

You can use Torrents or psnstuff if you want to look up how to use psnstuff look at my recent post's i have a tutorial on it. Also your going to want to use multiman which i'll talk about later if your goint to use torrents. BTW you get torrents from torrent hosting websites look it up im not going to provide any links. And your going to need a client to open the torrents in.

You're going to have to get tmapi or ccapi working on your ps3 there's tutorials everywhere for it.
3. which means CEX / dex ?
Some firmwares are Cex some are Dex your going to want a DEX you can also buy a cex and make it a DEX yourself. Dex's have all and more abilities of CEX cause cex can't use tmapi but Dex uses tmapi and ccapi
4. can you be banned from psn / your console ?
I haven't yet and rarely hear about psn banns. only Console ban i had was from ghosts. Every other game and psn still works.
5. whats multiman?
Basically essential to a jailbreak i thinnk if your going to use game back ups(free games). Just look up a download for it and you should be good to go. BTW if your want to play games from the usb stick you have to make a folder called GAMES then place the game duplex you downloaded into it. then your going to usually have to go into settings and turn on bdmirror and external options.

mw3 doesnt ban, i havent been banned yet anyway but if you want search for an antiban. bo2 your going to want to get an antiban infact if your a beginner its mandatory if you wan't a less ban risk.

and if you want mod menu on bo2 it's almost mandatory to have a dex many menus aren't supported on cex ps3's don't listen to the firs't poster.
