I basically want to know what the best way to remove data on your ps3 without resetting it and loosing the dlc
I want to sell my ps3 super slim because I am getting a ps4 for christmas and so it my brother and my sister is getting the xbox360 so I have no use for it.
But if I keep all of my dlc and games I will probably get a bit more money than if I factory reset it.
So what is the best way to clear your ps3 (of all users and account data ect...) without factory resetting it?
If I understand this correctly you want to keep games and DLC installed on the disk. I believe this is achievable by just creating another user on the console. And deleting the one with your account/login details. If I recall correctly - as it's been awhile since I've touched any console - your game data which contains DLC will remain intact. Any games installed to the XMB should remain as well. Before you delete the user with your account just create a new user and see if what you want to remain is still present under that new user. If it is, then it should be safe to delete your personal user with account details etc. Feel free to report back. I'd like to know if I'm correct or not. :p

Just Go Under Settings An Do A Quick Format. This Will Delete All Data. You can Also Factory Restore It Which Will Erase All Users.
I don't think he wants to do a factory restore as he wants to maintain certain data like games and DLC to obtain a higher price when he sells his PS3.
