I am having a lot of hassle lately with this dilemma. I am unable to login to Playstation.com, it only says "Access Denied" after entering my login credentials, and when I login through the console, it gives me PSN Error 80010016, I have 4 PS3 by the way and it's all the same. But when I use my mobile phone's data (LTE), it successfully login to both PS website & console. Please help! I prefer using my ISP rather than my phone's mobile data.

Hoping someone is kind enough to help me fix this problem.

have you tried another account?

Are you sure its not just Parental restrictions?

Call Sony Corporation at, 800-345-SONY (7669), and ask "What does 80010016 error code mean?" They should then give you the answer!

your ip address its banned from psn man you need to get a new ip so u can play online

I suspect this would me there's either something wrong with your router, DNS or just the router or it also could be a IP address ban. If you are on a static you will have to phone up your ISP and ask them to change it and if your on a Dynamic just turn of your router for about a hour and turn it back on. Should give you a new ip address. You can find if your on a static or dynamic here: You must login or register to view this content.. Enter the IP into the search and it'll say if its a dynamic or a static!

Keep hearing about ip bans..

You can also try this trick if you want to try to avoid calling your isp, works for some, just depends on you're isp's settings and setup.

1. Go to router settings
2. Clone mac address
3. While your router is restarting, unplug the modem
4. Plug modem back in and when it restarts you will be given a new ip to go with the new mac

If it doesn't connect to the internet after that, restart your router and/or reset your router's mac address back and it should still give you a new ip.

If you have dynamic / DHCP your ip should also change after a full shut off/restart or for some people you gotta wait like hours with everything off (router/modem)..


Get a vpn

Thanks for all your replies. I wasn't able to solve the problem so what I did was to get a VPN, at least now I can login successfully ro PSN through a VPN.
