Post: What to do with a broken fat PS3?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I remember I had an old fat CECHG01PS3 somewhere and when I found it I tried it. The red light was there but it didn't turn on, so I'm guessing it's broken. What can I do with it? Just asking

The valuables are the HDD, BLU Ray and that's pretty much it. You could sell things separately like the Wifi Card. But it's too much of a hassle as well as the cost of sending. Nothing much inside. Look on YouTube if you want Smile

Might only be that the touch sensitive bit on the power button is broken, take top case off n see if it starts buy directly pushing the power sensor on the motherboard

Thats good if you want to be familiar with parts. You can possible sell the HDD or use it for another system. However taking it apart for educational purposes is good to. Its not like any harm will happen to it sense its already broken.

You can extract the CID and PSID I think and sell it for 20 quid.
