Are you looking to replace the storage of the PS3 into a bigger one, I do not think you can use an SSD on the PS3.

okay i have a 180 gb interanl hdd but i want to keep my hdd so i dont have to move my files i want to purchase a tb external usb drive soi can have my back ups

use a program like rufus to make any harddrive fat32 format

like the others said you can buy one from almost any store/website that sells electronics. I prefer Amazon. However you can only really use external HDDs on CFW PS3s only.

Like Ce4L said, get any 1tb external that's between 5400-7000 rpm and use Rufus to reformat it to fat32, google search "Rufus reformat"
