The console was 3 yrs not in use so i've updated the firmware and BAM

Iam banned on it...

I dont know why (sony says for cheating / hacking. Btw. Even if i want, i couldnd jailbreak my console)

So my question is, can i change my cid on the common PS3 ...

As Dro stated you can NOT change a CID on a non jailbroken PS3 so you might as well trash it as you won't be able to get online again on it.

Going to close this off now as you have some solid answers. As they said there is no way to change CID on a OFW console. Needs to be a CFW. Thread closed.

was your account on a modded console before ? or do you modded trophies?

if none of this fit your situation you can call sony and tell them your situation

You must downgrade it to 3.55 to change the CID by flash dumping it.

you could change nor or nands on ps3, to change the cid permanently though you need to have some kind of chip/s for that model ps3 and board from what i know, ive never tried differnt types as that dont seem like a good idea

In that case it's garbage unless you use it to just watch DVDs or Blu-Rays on as it'll never connect to PSN again.
