(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey so i was using an RTM tool with MW3 and i use my monitor for pc and the ps3 due to my tv breaking so i was Using the tool on pc and switch back over to other HDMI to find a black screen with console on.

I reboot console to find that its on a black screen and the disk drive is making a small buzz noise when the ps3 is doign*smthing then it ejects its self!

What have i done :'(

Will i loose my CFW if i was to restore file system?

Have i gone and bricked my 2 day old PS3 from a shitty MW3 RTM tool

Any more info? Is the console currently running? Does it reach the XMB? Is it playing discs still?



No you will not.




It is most likely not a fatal brick, if so.

Ps3 Doesnt reach XMB, goes stright to black screen on Boot. Doesnt reach Recovery mode when i try to put it into it

Press the power button to turn it on and hold the button down. You will hear one beep when it turns on, and then one more beep, in which you should let go.

This will clear and reset the video settings..

Maybe also confirm it doesn't work on another tv, with other cables etc..

If all of that doesn't help, and you can't get to recovery menu, then your hdd may have taken a dump.. I suppose at that point you could replace your hdd with a known working 2.5" sata hdd.

Wlll the system boot without a hardrive? Just o be sure it is in fact the hardrive!

If it is the problem, you should boot up, most likely with the screen asking you to connect a control and install a firmware. You would install your last cfw, or a downgrader and then your cfw.

Na, still black screen... maybe i have got GLOD?
