Site: [link removed]

Requirements:
- A PS3 (maybe and xtra one incase u **** up)
- Possibly a soldering tool
- Double sided USB

1. Expose the wires on one side of the USB
2. Open up your PS3 till you see the NAND
3. Connect the non-exposed wire to your PC
4. If possible, connect the wire to a part of the NAND. If not do this:
find which wire that is connected to the NAND, transfers data, or stores
cut a small split in the middle of that wire
connect the exposed USB wire to the middle of that NAND wire

The program will be able to read and write from the NAND.

The program will then receive the files and dump/write it to a folder. Of course, decryption will be harder.

What needs to be done:
- Write a driver so the PC can recognize it is connected to the NAND
- Dump the NAND into a folder on the PC
- Transfer files from the PC to the NAND

Then the things to can maybe do from this
- Put a older firmware on the PS3
- Etc...

I defeated!
yes unfortunately there is still the syscon checks. this prevents downgrading if you could patch the sycon per say it might work

This wont work, for the simple fact being that hashes of the files in your firmware are stored on syscon. and when you attempt to downgrade the hashes wont match and that therefore measn ur console wont boot up,
another reason would be the use of an AVR, not a USB

Who said this is only just for downgrading? Also, you have not heard of decryption? I'm not mad for you thinking this is fake / won't work, but it will. Someone just pmed me that this is sorta how the Infect mod chipped work.

SHA1 is the hash encryption used and it cannot be decrypted.........for the simple fact being that SHA1 is one way encryption.SHA1 was also designed to make it extremely difficult (practically impossible) to decode hashes into input variables. and sure you can attempt to decipher it, but i suggest getting a bit more knowledge than you already have. and yes this is how the infectus modchip worked, all the infectus modchip was an AVR that had some code on it nothing more......
btw i would love it to work and i want it to work, im just saying the areas of problems, that are extremely difficult to overcome....
