Aha, wow. That's crazy. I can't think of what could have happened. Have you tried open up the file on another computer, or a file manager on the ps3 (such as awesome file manager or in multiman) to see if it happens there as well?

no i didnt it happens when ever i just leave the file alone it dose that. id wouldnt touch it for like 5 hrs and it do that

If it seems to mess up on other systems as well it is likely that the data or the hard drive is corrupted. Try delete the files and re-copy or re-download new ones, because they are just patches aren't they? If you find that there is a problem deleting the files, backup what you need and format the disk.
