....so I was wandering if you downgrade to 3.55 and jailbreak and but a CL patch on there (yes I still like to go online and **** around on MW2 don't judge me) anyways, can I update and still have the patch on there and when I want change patches downgrade agian?

Yes you could do that! I was going to say that once you update again if they come out with a new one then you would have to downgrade again but it looks like you already knew that much!
