im pretty sure the limit is 1tb because of its actuall size depends on wat ur doing id go with a 500gb harddrive

So in reality 1TB isn't the limit, that's just the best for the HDD's physical size atm?

Correct. I've heard of people using 2T's hard drive on their PS3.

A SAMSUNG 640 Gig is the largest hardrive that fits without any alterations,Any bigger then you have to cut the hardrive bay\cage.
