(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I need some help with my PS3 that my husband bought for our son at a police auction. It says that it is in demonstration mode and it needs the software update, so we downloaded it and tried to install it but then we get an error code of 8002F2E4. I read on another site that it means it's for demo only and their directions say to go to the XMB to enter some code, but I can't get to XMB because it won't let me get past the error screen or the screen telling me to update the software. Any suggestions???

tryme
Do a barrel roll!
there's a task for ps3mfw to make an update file yourself, to allow installation on kiosk consoles and even convert it to retail. just download the precompiled ps3mfw_portable from rebugme, there's the task included...

btw, demo=kiosk=shop sku
