Post: Please Help - C3 Flasher Hosting
10-08-2011, 01:45 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi there
i am incredibly sorry if this has already been posted, but yes i am a n00b and i need help :mad:
i am considering buying an E3 flasher (the non soldering edition) and an extra hard drive (for dual boot), but i was wondering if i could upload custom patches for games (Mw2 CoD4 etc) and take them online (with or without patch blocker, i dont mind) somehow with the device..?

i was thinking of either-
* downgrading to 3.55cfw on one hd, uploading the patch and re-updating to take online? which is okay but a bit troublesome. :(
or else
*backing up the cfw ps3 HDD and restoring to the OFW HDD hopefully bringing the patch over as well? (it is backing up to the same ps3 still so i thought it might work)
Any help is much appreciated Happy
(once again sorry if this is posted elsewhere or a bad description of my problem, it is my first thread ive ever started )

What you can do is set up your HDD's for dual boot. On your 3.55 HDD install patches then back them up. Since you are using the same PS3 the system will recognize the back up and you could restore on your OFW. It would be like data transferring with one PS3.

Thats what i thought of doing too, but is there any way without having to format every time i change a patch, (or do you not have to format to restore back ups?, is that only the case with file transfer?) Smile
(this is because i have alot of black ops dlc which i dont want to have to delete :/ )

woah woah woah, everyone is expected to post in the right section on NGU this guy is no different, there is a section clearly posted before you click exploits and hacks, so i have every right to troll people who don't post in the right section because it isn't hard to post in the correct section. Problem? cry to the Mods, not me.

I also have alot of dlc as well. It's the only way to do it. Having the E3 flasher is like having 2 ps3's in 1. Using backup and restore is like doing a data transfer with 2 ps3's like I do. Backup all you dlc and then do your patches. When you are ready to play with your dlc again just restore it. It's alot faster than re-downloading them. You will have to reactivate you dlc though. Just go into the store and start the download after activation is complete you can cancel the download.

if he posted in the right section i would be more than happy to help, but i don't like people posting questions in the wrong section that is clearly stated what can or can't be done in the section. My intension was not to troll in the first place just to say not to post in the wrong section, but you thought i was trolling. Did you think maybe i wasn't trolling? or are you only smart enough to think of one option then open your mouth about it and bitch? Maybe you should ****ing try to see another point of view instead of jumping to the "oh he's trolling" conclusion like an autistic 5 year old. Maybe you should stop trolling me for not even intending to troll the guy in the first place. Because if you hate trolling so much maybe you should look at what you have been typing to me and look at my post and maybe consider it was only ****ing sarcasm.

[/COLOR]with one ps3 it is not possible, if you try to use a different hardrive on your legit firmware it will ask for a format, there was a method to usse low firmware hardrives on high firmware ps3's, i would look that up and try.
