The reason why im coming to you for ideas is because of this tool i found. Yes the tool has been out for quite some time but just now i decided to check it out.
OK the MWF Custom CFW Builder v.01 that was made i believe from Kakaroto (credit
to him).
ok i was asking if i were to put a normal 3.72 OFW then did all the Blah blah things which i wont meantion and then save the OFW3.72 into a CFW 3.72 will it still work using the tool.
just a theory.

ps if you got nothing nice to say then dont say nothing at all Thank YOU

I will look around maybe even try to see has i have my own YLOD ps3 which is totally available for opening and see how all would operate together. Hopefully a CFW3.73 would be release if not then Oh well. Mean while i so far created my own CFW 3.55 but not from scratch just from a MWF Builder.

Also yes this but besides simply dumping the cache from your nand or nor memory chip you would also have to decrypt the data from the dump recrypt and put it back. Also it is believed that now the keys used to sign firmware, games, and the like isn't even stored but used or accessed via a hard code somewhere else on the chip. Several known hackers have said it lies in the lv0.2 cache which unless some data is out there hasn't been released yet hasn't been accessed. However there are more ways to get to the keys that going about it this way. I've always thought that it may be easier to decrypt a psn game or disc game thats signed for current firmware. It would have to use the proper signature keys to work and but I haven't seen any info on this or an attempt... and as im not familar with disc security on ps3 games or .pkg security to decryption I can't say any more on that matter other than it may also be worth a look.

To answer your previous question it could be a process of both. I recommend reading up on the specs of the ps3 and then looking at the hardware schematics for solder points and info about what they do as well as deeper levels programming involved with the ps3's operations. But in all seriousness GL with this mate.

yes i see what you mean, ok all in all is going to be a bitch but yeah im pretty sure i can do it except it will take rather a long time plus i got a spare ps3 some where in my house. Also bro were do you get this type of information i have searched but nothing relavent or anything that makes sense has been found compared to what you told me i understand somewhat. So if you can link me or anything i appreciate it (were you get your info). Also you seem to know alot maybe you should try doing it. Also im familiaried with the java and python programming but i ask you will that help in anyway towards a ps3. I say we double team up and work on it making it a project but then again i dont know how busy you are because compared to me im busy 42-7 with both high school and Community College =(. But yea i appreciate you taking your time and helping me.

yes thats what im being told but i still find that somewhat confusing maybe because i have never messed with a ps3 to this degree the only thing ive done was take it apart to redo the YLOD attack and reassemble it.

Ok so the keys is what supposibly does everything and if i were to even try does that mean i would have to solder. Wait to make all this work would i have to go deep into the ps3 software programming or i would have to manually **** with it (motherboard) such has soldering and stuff like that.

Not really a need for 3.73 cfw as there is Progskeet and E3 Flasher which can be soldered to motherboard and dual boot ofw and cfw, as for 3.73 cfw look up documents on google for how geohot did it for 3.55 there are in depth tut's and pics of what u must dump and where to do certain things to dump the keys bc it is a new fw not new hardware.

But ill try to pack all the tools and everything into .rar that I have and upload it as well as link you to the threads and the rest of the info. Anywho ill get back at yah holla. To start off though I would look at all of Graf Chokolo's work. He released a 100 plus page document on the ps3 and its hardware awhile ago before he got arrested.
