I really need to know because I have 2 ps3s, one on cfw 3.55 and the other one on 4.00 ofw. I want to hack on mw2 version 1.13 using the transfer method but on my 4.00 ps3 i have game save data with 100% sync in assassins creed 2 and other copy right prohibited exclusive content for the assassins creed series, this is copyright prohibited. So what i wanted to do was to do a data transfer from the 4.00 ps3 to the 3.55 ps3 first so that all my saved data and stuff would be on the 3.55. I would then edit the mw2 1.13 patch and do a data transfer back to my 4.00 ps3. But if the system firmware/software is transferred with everything else... well yer, not good.

when i did a data transfer it stated both systems "need to be fully updated", so i guess both running the same firmware. Not tried with two different ones so your mileage may vary.

1. Wrong Section, you're thread belongs You must login or register to view this content.
2. In order to perform a data transfer from CFW > OFW or vice versa you need to spoof your FW to the same version as your OFW. A little TUT can be found You must login or register to view this content.
3. No it doesn't transfer the firmware, you're OFW will not turn into CFW and vice versa.
4. If I remember correctly, you can't hack MW2 on 1.13, you need to hack the 1.12 patch and bypass. You should check the MW2 section You must login or register to view this content.

Firmwares are stored on the nand/nor so it doesnt transfer across however you'll need rebugs 4.00 spoofer for your CFW to do so. When modding a current 1.13 MW2 pkg just use a 1.12 patch & overwrite the fast file which work online (no need to bypass unless its a 1.11 mp.ff or under)

I knew you had to do something else to the MW2 patch :y:

to transfer from 4.00 to 3.55 you need to install 4.00 version spoofer on your 3.55 ps3!!!
