All the led’s light up and the softboard of the ribbon cable isn’t damaged. I have a Thermaltake BlacX HDD Dock plugged into the flasher via sata cable. When I turn on my Ps3, I get a black screen, and the power and eject buttons on my ps3 are unresponsive. Please help, I’ve been through so much crap with this e3 flasher, and have spent so much money trying to get it to work. It doesn’t boot to the xmb, or anything. I have had such bad luck with this.

1st. I ordered the e3 flasher thinking I was getting the Limited 3K Edition, but to no avail, I received just the nor flasher ($66).
2nd. Found out I needed a dongle, so I ordered the PS Jailbreak ($9.99). It arrived and I found out it was a clone and wouldn’t work.
3rd. Had to order HDD Dock ($54.95)
4th. Had to order the E3 card reader ($9.99)
5th. Had to order a sata cable ($7.49) Later, I found that the HDD Dock already came with one.
6th. After installing the flasher on my other slim, I found out that the ps3 was broken.
7th. Had to buy a used ps3 off craigslist ($190).
8th. And now I get a black screen. $338 For a ****ing Black Screen.

Couldn't be flawless if you bricked the system. I would say look at the instructions on ww.e3-tech.com for fixing a bricked system.

Also does it get any power at all? Did you hook up the power supply correctly when reinstalling. I would double check all the hardware make sure its all in place.

No, it's not bricked, it powers on. I put the power supply in just fine, but after rechecking the softboard last night, there was just a little bit of damage, but not like a crease or anything. Just a few dents.

If you have the dump of the nor then let me look at it, most likely you didnt get a valid nor dump and you flashed a bad dump.
Im guessing you used E3 NOR Check Validating program which causes alot of bricks and didnt check ps3devwiki to verify everything is in your dump or #ps3downgrade irc channel where people will tell you if you have a valid dump or not.

You most likely have a bricked console, bricked consoles can still turn on that just means the bootldr is there, you could have alot of other things missing.

But I haven't done anything yet. I haven't even upgraded the flasher's firmware. Haven't dumped the NOR or anything.

Updated my flasher via usb to my laptop (KernalBoot DISK).
Try to backup my bios and I get error code 11000010, which just my luck, isn't listed in their manual.

Sorry i misread your situation.
I use progskeet so im not sure how good e3 is but i have heard it doesn't read properly because it doesn't connect to the nor properly, solderless clips will always suck there just isnt enough 'chip' for it to clip onto if you get what i mean.
You should buy a progskeet and take the time to learn how to solder, NOR is really easy to solder and there is a diagram for every board on devwiki, sell the e3 bricker

and a little extra for the wires and solder

E3 Bricker - £60-70, causes more problems than its worth

You could try disconnecting the solderless clip, boot your ps3 without e3 being connected and see if you get black screen still.
If you still get it then you could have fked something up on the board but if it boots up properly then its that crappy clip.

Lol e3 bricker. Thanks for your help anyways. Where would you recommend i get the progskeet from, and could you give me some souldering tips?

Discoazul.com is the cheapest place i know to buy a progskeet, its £33 and ships to the uk really cheap, not sure about the us.
And for soldering tips, youtube is your best bet, you will learn more by watching it instead of me telling you as soldering cant really be tought to somebody, get an old motherboard or something and start tinning points on there and then solder wire to the tinned point but watch a video so you can see how its done 1st.
