Post: Hacking 4.11 PS3.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey NextGenUpdate,

I've got a PlayStation 3 and I've just updated to the latest 4.11 firmware. I really want to hack my PS3 and make it so I can host hacked lobbies and have mod menu's ingame when hosting. How do I do this so I have no chance of screwing my PS3 up. It's the White 320GB PS3.

Thanks,

Pk0wnedall. Winky Winky

The devs doesn't have the keys to do so.

Well how did they get the 'keys' for the 3.55 verison. I hope they do release a 4.11 version. That's all I have and I don't have money to buy anymore addition things.

Devs worked extremely hard to jailbreak the 3.55 firmware and that alone was a struggle. Unfortunately, for the PS3
hacking scene, Sony inhibited the ability to jailbreak any firmware from 3.56 and above with the 3.56 firmware. And the reason
4.11 won't be released, or anytime soon at least, is because there are extremely complex algorithms that need to be
cracked in order for a jailbreak to be even thought possible. This specific algorithm, the ECDSA algorithm is just one of
the many that devs are trying to solve. You must login or register to view this content. if you wan't to feel really small in the brain :p It's actually interesting
if you have the time and mental capacity to read. In fact, click on it, and just scroll down and see some of the
stuff that is in there.

Also, those mod menus won't be possible because a CFW won't be possible with a new jailbreak. A jailbreak IS possible and
Homebrew apps will be able to be installed. However, things such as backups and file managers, which are used for mod menus,
won't be included. Also, in order to get these mods online, you would need 2 PS3's to do file transfers from a jailbroken PS3
to an updated one.

As you can see, there are a lot of factors and variables that are present here, so unfortunately I don't believe you will
be able to do the mod menus and what not you seek to do.

Yes if you do a data transfer from the 3.55 ps3 to the 4.11 one, you can do a limited amount of infections and what not.
I personally don't think its worth it, but to each their own :p

According to who ? Buddy anyone can claim their decoding whatever they want, it doesnt mean its true. Now you can be narrow minded and short sighted all you want, we forgive you because you havent got a clue being a noob. But if i were you, id take the advice thats offered from people who are much more experienced on the playstation scene and are "In the know". Google is your friend, if you think theyre lying google your answer and youll find that 70% of people will tell you the same thing. 29% of people are giving you false hope and lieing and 1% will be tweeting his progress as he goes.
