Post: RE: Where the heck is the progskeet downgrade guides

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello,

I am trying to downgrade my PS3 from 4.11 to 3.55, I just recieved a adapter in the mail along with a progskeet v 1.1. I have looked on the net forever and as popular as downgrading with progskeet seems there are no tutorials anywhere. I have been able to find out that I dont have all the items needed to downgrade, I think I will need a nor clip and also a injectus jtag to update prog. I still am going to need a guide after I get these two items so I will know what I have to do to complete the downgrade. Only thing I have seen related to a guide for the solderless prog was how to put it together. Also I have seen something called a PROGSKEET NAND PCB 16MB and a PROGSKEET NAND PCB 1GBIT 128MB, are these for dual booting purposes and what is the difference between the 16mb and 128 mb one, of course 128 is more but does it allow for more options in dual booting or does it make duaal booting faster or something? If someone can provide a link to a detailed video or a detailed guide that would help I assume this process is not to complicated as I have a non soldering prog. Please help A.S.A.P would like to get into getting this stuf done.

Yeah it seems to be that way I will probabaly sell my proskeet on ebay because I saw things indicating I could dualboot with progskeet but after purchasing it it seems I cant find any documentation on it so I think I should sell it and just get a E3 flasher, ty for the replies

When you can't find anything on the internet about it (think about it, how big the internet is. Thats pretty bad.), then its either fake or nobody knows how to use it. So see if you can find info and tutorials on things before purchasing them, so then you can see that they actually work.

Yeah I shoulda looked around before the purchase but another alternative to th e3 since I already have a progskeet do you think it is possible to flash my ps3 to 3.55 cfw and play games and when I want to go online just upgrade it back and vise versa, or will that not work because I heard that you can only use proskeet once maybe I can just leae it on my ps3 and never take it off because I heard its when you disconect it that there is a posibility the pins might get screwed to not be able to conect it back.

Just get another ps3 & do a data transfer and you can host online. But no you could donwgrade it again. But everytime you do it, it gives you a better chance of bricking your ps3.

so how would I do that though, after its downgraded could I wipe the whole system and just install 4.11 or would I just upgrade from 3.55, I ask because I'm thinking if I just upgrade would any traces of 3.55 be left in my system? Also if my console bricks isn't the progskeet able to unbrick it?

It depends on how bad the brick is. Also, it would be so pointless to downgrade then upgrade again cause it takes awhile to set everything up to downgrade it. Also, and if you downgrade it and really want to make some nice money, sell the 3.55 ps3, I know people that are so desperate for one they'll pay like $600

just wondering even though you say it would be alot to do is that what I would have to do wipe the whole hard before I upgrade or I could just upgrade from 3.55. Asking because tryng to figure if I dont wipe hard drive first will the mod be detecting by live when I upgrade it back?

No, why would you have to clear the HDD before you update. I just put my mods on my 3.55 cfw and then do a data transfer from my 3.55 to my 4.11 HDD and thats how I host.

I really aprciate all the help. Ididn't understand want you meant by your last post it seems as though you are reffering to doing what I am asking with two drives I was asking could I install 3.55 on on drive and than when I want to play online take 3.55 off the drive and install 4.11, but it seems you are saying something about having 3.55 on one drive and 4.11 on the other, how would that work, meaning what would I have to do after I take the 3.55 drive out and put the 4.11 drive in does the console have to be reflashed or can I just insert the drive and what type of data are you saying you would have to transfer why would you have to transfer data from your 3.55 drive to 4.11. I'm trying to understand the cocept of just inserting the 4.11 drive when ready for online because I don't know will the drive have to have 4.11 reinstalled on or are you saying that once you have 3.55 on one drive and 4.11 on the other you won't have to install it back to the drive anymore just plug it in? But yeah I was talking about just one drive at first if I wanted to go back to 4.11 on that drive thats why I was asking would I have to wipe it or could I just upgrade it because was think if I upgrade it would tracing of the mod then get detected when online and if I did do it that way would I have to reflash the console, This is the last information I wll need I say that because I know you have spent much time dealing with me but I aprciate it.
